The Foundation has a particular interest in people who are excluded from society or at risk of exclusion.
It supports projects offering social inclusion solutions and actions that put the economic framework at the service of the poorest people, to help them back into work and thus to regain financial independence and dignity.
The health crisis we are now suffering has worsened existing inequalities: the most vulnerable people have been the hardest hit. Isolation, precarious social and economic circumstances, unemployment – all these factors push vulnerable people further away from society and the world of work.
It is therefore more necessary than ever to support programmes seeking to reduce the inequalities and weaknesses that have been exacerbated by the crisis.
Social
Inclusion
Strengthening social links and tackling isolation and exclusion of the poorest in society are critical challenges. Growing inequality – gender or ethnicity-based, of income or life chances – represent a threat to economic development and threaten social harmony, worsening social and political tensions and ultimately feeding into instability and conflict. These inequalities affect efforts to reduce poverty, and undermine individuals’ sense of accomplishment and the self-esteem.
The LBP AM Group Foundation, through its work to reduce poverty and inequality, seeks to ensure the dignity of individuals and the protection of their rights.
The projects supported by the Foundation to tackle social exclusion focus on preparation for or alternatives to integration with the world of work. Preparation, when it is a question of helping individuals rebuild their lives before considering a return to work. Alternatives, where the main issue is not a return to employment, as for poorer workers or elderly people.

Integration
In the journey to social integration (or re-integration), work, alongside housing and healthcare, is a fundamental factor that allows excluded individuals to find (or re-find) their independence and a place in society and active life.
With unemployment continuing to rise, and employment becoming more precarious, people excluded from employment suffer a worsening of their problems and a growing number of obstacles to their professional integration. Young people, foreigners, single women – with or without children – thus rack up a series of negative factors which make it ever harder for them to find work.
The Foundation seeks to support actions that encourage a long-term return to work, via training and qualifications and/or the apprenticeship pathway. It is particularly committed to financing innovative projects that provide new solutions to the problems of inclusion and support their users in finding and staying in work.
